We are the brainchild of Doctor Kya R. Robottom with the help of her extended family. Dedicated to the education of five through seventeen-year-olds, the intention of The Foundation is to expose and educate this age group to fitness, health, nutrition, and wellness. The desired outcome is to predictably give the children options for better and optimal health and wellness in adulthood.

Doctor Kya R. Robottom

Doctor Kya R. Robottom is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. She attended St. Mary’s Dominican High School in New Orleans, Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia, and received her medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. She completed an Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at the University of Illinois in Chicago, Illinois where she practiced for many years.

After hanging up her scrubs, Doctor Robottom developed her passion as an advocate for health and wellness for children. Over the past six years, she has worked to support The Robottom Foundation’s mission to educate, engage, and exemplify better health and wellness practices to youth. When she is not at work with The Robottom Foundation she enjoys cooking, reading, and traveling!

BOARD VICE-CHAIR

Harry M. Robottom, III

A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, Harry interned for ARCO Oil and Gas company and the office of the First Lady, Mrs. Hillary Rodham Clinton.

He began his career in Oil and Gas with Jacobs Engineering in 2005 as an analyst in the downstream division of British Petroleum at the Texas City Refinery. He held a variety of project controls and supervisory positions in downstream & chemicals in Texas City before joining Chevron in 2008. With Chevron, Harry was a projects controls advisor for the Frade project in Brazil starting the FPSO in 2009. He became the Project Controls Advisor for the Consolidated Pipeline Projects in Nigeria in 2010. He was also the Project Controls Manager for the Chuandongbei Gas Project in China starting in 2014. He assumed his current position in 2016.

Harry has a BBA from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Masters of Liberal Arts in Management from Harvard University. He is certified in Finance (Harvard) and Supply Chain Management (Arizona State University).

Harry is a member of the Board of Advisors for Stephen F. Austin State University Business School. He was a member of the National Society of Black Engineers, and the Society of Petroleum Engineers. For fun, he enjoys spending time with his family, music, and reading.

BOARD SECRETARY

Hubert J. Robottom

Hubert J Robottom, III is a native of Hahnville, Louisiana. He attended Hahnville High School, after which he enlisted in the U.S. Army from where he is a veteran of the Persian Gulf War. While enlisted Hubert attended the U.S. Army Practical Nurse Program from where he received licensure. After completion of his military service he attended Delgado-Charity School of Nursing and obtained his RN Licensure. He is currently employed as a travel RN working for the Ochsner Health System. He has been a licensed healthcare professional for 32 years and continues to have a passion for the work he does and the care of his patients. His favorite past times are reading, movies, dining out at New Orleans restaurants, and an avid love of travel.
